" I wish I could say I was a millionaire. But I can’t. And I don’t wish I was a millionaire just so I could flaunt it on social media. I wish I was a millionaire so I could have the unlimited means to create anything I want, when I want, where I want and how I want. Throughout my journey as an artist, I have found myself bummed and saddened when I couldn’t afford the supplies to create what was burning in my heart. And that can be hard to swallow. It’s hard when all you want to do is create but your finances say otherwise. And when you start out, you may face this feeling many times too. But I kept working as hard as I could, saved my money and kept dreaming. And no matter how much money I had in my bank account, I never stopped creating. I think that’s the important part. I used hand me down markers. Bought the cheapest paints. Bought off brands. Borrowed from friends. But never stopped creating. I’m still not a millionaire but I have the luxury to create more freely, and that’s pretty cool. So if you’re just starting out, or your already creatively successful, take a moment to appreciate where you are in the journey. Don’t stop creating. The money will come. But the art is what is important. And for you and me both, I have my fingers crossed on that million. "
